Snake oil may be off New Zealand shelves in future, thanks to new regulations. Manufacturers in both NZ and Oz will have to prove all their claims in advance of claiming them in future – and not just retract them if they can’t prove them, as in the past.
Probably. Evidence-based claims must be good, right?
On the whole anyway.
I worry for small companies, such as health food start-ups, getting edged out by the greater wherewithal of big producers because of this extra requirement.
