Simply Squeezed is one of those brands which successfully navigates a middle ground. It’s in the chiller cabinet, making you think it’s freshly squeezed – and giving it an edge of premium-ness which we’re happy to pay more for. It’s a step up from the tetra paks of juice from concentrate. But it’s more affordable than the real fresh-squeezed juices.
I don’t often buy it (something about the brand name makes me feel tricked – “but it’s not simply squeezed!”) but I did enjoy this grapefruit, apple and lemon concoction, which is sure to be a big hit on the hot days of the Auckland summer. Or possibly helping us commiserate the rain on Christmas day… But I digress.
It’s sharp, but pleasantly so. Would be a good mixer for a refreshing take on a Screwdriver too. 🙂
